Air Fried Tofu
Ingredients:
1 block of extra firm tofu
1 tbsp avocado oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
Directions:
Lay a paper towel on a plate and place your block of tofu on top. Then place another paper towel on top of the block of tofu. Turn another plate over and lay it on top and then place something heavy on top of the plate. This will press out all of the moisture in the tofu to make it extra crispy. Leave for at least 30 minutes.
Cut the tofu into cubes.
In a bowl combine the tofu with avocado oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Shake/mix to make sure each piece of tofu is coated.
Put the tofu in your air fryer and cook for 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Shake halfway through to make sure that the tofu is cooked evenly. (If you are making the tofu in the oven, spread each piece out on a baking sheet and bake on 350 degrees for at least 1 hour. The key to crispy food in the oven is low and slow, so be patient and let the tofu really crisp up).
Add more time if you think the tofu isn’t crispy enough. Be patient. Don’t take the tofu out of the air fryer pre maturely, you want to get it as crispy as possible!
