Cinnamon Swirl Oats

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond milk OR 1 cup water

  • 1/2 cup oats

  • 2 tbsp flax seed meal (optional)

  • 1 banana (1/2 sliced, 1/2 mashed)

  • cashew butter

  • cinnamon

  • honey

Directions:

  1. Add almond milk/water and oats to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Once they reach a boil, turn the temperature low and let them simmer for about 5 minutes (stirring periodically).

  2. Once your oats have thickened, turn the heat off. Cut the banana in half and mash one half. Add the mashed banana to the oats and mix in until thoroughly combined.

  3. Transfer oats to a bowl.

  4. Top with cinnamon, cashew butter, honey, and the other half of the banana.

  5. Enjoy!
